Suhaimi Conveys Rp150 Million Offer from Three Defendants to Abdul Rahim

Mataram (ANTARA) - Suhaimi, a member of Commission I of the West Nusa Tenggara DPRD, conveyed an offer of Rp150 million from three gratuity defendants in the NTB DPRD case to a fellow faction legislator from PDI Perjuangan, Abdul Rahim. “If you’re sure or not, at that time the conversation was from these three defendants, that there was Rp150 million in money,” Suhaimi said in his testimony before the Panel of Judges at the Mataram Corruption Court at the Mataram District Court on Monday evening. He admitted to conveying the offer during his second meeting with Abdul Rahim, familiarly known as Bram, at his home in Mataram City in mid-May 2025, after an NTB DPRD plenary session. “So, what I conveyed (to Bram) is that this programme (NTB Governor’s directive) is not in the form usually understood by people, appointing contractors and such like pokir (principal thought funds). There will be no activity value, it’s replaced with money, Rp150 million each,” he stated. Before conveying this to Bram, Suhaimi acknowledged that the NTB DPRD Commission IV member rejected the offer. He also suggested that Bram communicate again with Hamdan Kasim, who is one of the defendants in this case. “So, I offered to try discussing and talking, coincidentally (Bram) is in the same commission as Hamdan Kasim, that’s what I suggested,” he said. On the night of that meeting, Bram again asked Suhaimi to contact him directly via telephone. “Bram said, try calling first, I called Mr Hamdan at that time, he didn’t pick up several times, until finally he did and he said he still had a religious event in East Lombok,” he said. “There, there might be a chance to meet there (working visit), I asked to meet at the same time,” he added. Furthermore, Suhaimi admitted that he also did not receive the money with the offered value of Rp150 million. He only conveyed it to Bram because they are still in the same faction as legislators in the NTB DPRD. “Because we’re in the same party and I’ve known Bram for a long time, so I only went to Bram, no one else,” Suhaimi said.
