Suggestions for the govt

As I love this country, I think it is appropriate for me in this era of reform to give the following suggestions and input to the government and other interested parties:

1. The law in this republic must be enforced, with all parties obeying it. All law enforcement personnel must be proud of and satisfied with the trust and compensation given by the state.

In this way they will be able to carry out their assignments willingly and avoid corruption, collusion, nepotism and legal fabrication to further their personal interests and those of their groups as such practices are very harmful to the nation.

2. The appointment of Armed Forces members to political positions must be simplified. For example only veterans should, for example, become governors and regents. It must be borne in mind that the discipline required in the armed forces differs from that needed in civilian life.

3. In terms of political organizations, government officials like the president, governors and so on should take a neutral stance. In this way the disparity among political organizations that was obvious during the New Order era can be avoided.

4. In the present era of reform, serving and former government officials should realize that, unlike in the New Order era, they must pass on their positions to the younger generation.

Those who failed to do so during the New Order era should now repent and with all good intention help put this country and this nation in order. Let us all make ours a just and prosperous country and let us make ourselves suitable hosts in our own country.
