Suggestion to Garuda
Suggestion to Garuda
From Media Indonesia
Lately Garuda Indonesia has been intensifying its efforts to
promote the quality of its services. Allow me to give some
suggestions in connection with this effort.
Some time ago, every Sunday there was a flight to Medan, using
a DC-10 aircraft. Now this flight is no longer available. In my
opinion, this flight must be resumed in view of the popularity of
wide-bodied aircraft among passengers.
Garuda may adopt a service system employed by a number of
airlines in the United States. Under this system, a passenger
using the service of a certain airline will be given a free
ticket for a particular route if he has reached a certain
mileage. In some cases, there is a family system ticket.
Another thing that deserves attention is the case of no-show:
If the ticket is used on a later date there is a 25 percent
charge or a 25 percent cut if the ticket is refunded. This is too
much. What is of greater absurdity is that the notification of
cancellation must be given at least 24 hours prior to departure.
These two things must be re-assessed carefully. There is one more
thing. Senior citizens must be allowed a discount not only for
the economy class but for all classes available.
Good luck to Garuda!
