Sad news has come from the House of Representatives (DPR). Member of the DPR RI Rachmat Gobel passed away on Friday (10/7/2026) at 03:20 WIB at Brawijaya Hospital in Tebet, Jakarta.

The late Rachmat Gobel died at the age of 63. Deputy Speaker of the DPR RI Sufmi Dasco Ahmad expressed his condolences and grief.

Dasco said he remembered the late legislator as a comrade in parliament, as well as a national businessman who dedicated his life to the nation and the state.

“Our deepest condolences on the passing of Mr Rachmat Gobel. He was a comrade in parliament and one of the national businessmen who devoted his life to the nation and the state, with dedication, exemplary conduct, and service to Indonesia,” Dasco wrote on his personal Instagram page on Friday (10/7/2026).

Dasco also prayed that all of Rachmat Gobel’s good deeds would be accepted by Allah SWT and that the family he left behind would be given fortitude.
