Sufmi Dasco and Danantara Visit the Indonesia Stock Exchange as the Jakarta Composite Index Declines

Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian Parliament Sufmi Dasco Ahmad and the leadership of Danantara, Daya Anagata Nusantara, visited the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) on Tuesday, 19 May 2026, as the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) weakened. During the visit, Dasco and Danantara discussed with BEI and Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) officials about improvements to Indonesia’s capital market. Dasco said the exchange authorities outlined steps already taken to grow retail investor participation in the market. Dasco expressed his belief that with the current fundamentals the Indonesian stock market would strengthen further.
