Sudirman-Thamrin to Close Today from 14:00 WIB, Check Alternative Routes
In celebration of Jakarta’s 499th Anniversary, the Jakarta Provincial Government is holding a public festival in the Bundaran HI area today, Saturday (27/6/2026), from 15:30 to 22:00 WIB. Residents can enjoy various art and entertainment performances during the event. The peak night celebration for Jakarta’s 499th anniversary will take place along the Sudirman-Thamrin corridor, from the Patung Kuda area to Galunggung. The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) stated that traffic management will be implemented situationally and gradually on roads intersecting with the event location. Traffic engineering will begin from 14:00 to 23:00 WIB. The following roads will be adjusted: Jalan Jenderal Sudirman (Bundaran HI to Dukuh Atas segment), Jalan M.H. Thamrin, Jalan M. Mashabi, Jalan Sutan Syahrir (Jl Agus Salim to Bundaran HI segment), Jalan Imam Bonjol (Jl. Agus Salim to Bundaran HI segment), Jalan Kotabumi, Jalan Teluk Betung, and Jalan Sumenep. Alternative routes available include: Traffic from the North (Harmoni) to the South (Semanggi) can use Jl. Hayam Wuruk-Jl. Juanda, turning at the Jl. Veteran III intersection, then Jl. Juanda-Jl. Suryapranoto-Jl. Balikpapan-Jl. Cideng Timur-Jl. KH. Mas Mansyur-Jl. Prof. Dr. Satrio, and making a U-turn on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman. Traffic from the North (Harmoni) to the East (Tugu Tani) can use Jl. Juanda-Jl.Pos-Jl. Gedung Kesenian-Jl. Lap. Banteng Utara-Jl. Lap. Banteng Barat-Jl. Pejambon-Jl. M.I Ridwan Rais. Traffic from the East (Tugu Tani) to the North (Harmoni) can use Jl. M.I Ridwan Rais-Jl. Medan Merdeka Timur-Jl. Medan Merdeka Utara-Jl. Majapahit. Traffic from the East (Tugu Tani) to the West (Tanah Abang) can use Jl. M.I Ridwan Rais-Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan-Jl. Budi Kemuliaan-Jl. Abdul Muis-Jl. Fachrudin. Traffic from the East (Menteng) to the West (Tanah Abang) can use Jl. Imam Bonjol-Jl. Agus Salim-Jl. KH Wahid Hasyim-Jl. KH Mas Mansyur, or alternatively Jl. Imam Bonjol-Jl. Agus Salim-Jl. Kebon Sirih-Jl.Fachrudin. Traffic from the South (Semanggi) to the North (Harmoni) can use Jl. Jend. Sudirman-Jl. KH. Mas Mansyur-Jl. Cideng Barat-Jl. Suryopranoto, or alternatively Jl. Jend. Sudirman-Jl. Karet Pasar Baru Timur III-Jl. Karet Pasar Baru Timur 2-Jl. R.M Margono Djojohadikoesoemo-Jl. KH. Mas Mansyur-Jl. Cideng Barat-Jl. Suryopranoto. Traffic from the West (Tanah Abang) to the East (Gambir Station) can use Jl. Abdul Muis-Jl. Budi Kemuliaan-Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan-Jl. Medan Merdeka Timur. Traffic from the West (Tanah Abang) to the East (Tugu Tani) can use Jl. Jati Baru Raya-Jl. Kebon Sirih, or alternatively Jl. Fachrudin-Jl. KH. Wahid Hasyim-Jl. Agus Salim-Jl Kebon Sirih. The Jakarta Transportation Agency has provided 21 parking areas with capacity for 12,295 cars, 8,186 motorcycles, and 97 buses. The public is urged to utilise these designated parking areas and is prohibited from parking on the roadside. For public transport users, operational patterns and route modifications will be adjusted situationally. The public can take advantage of a special Rp1 fare for Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta services. Additionally, a Rp0 fare applies to Mikrotrans, Transjakarta Cares, and free services for certain groups. These special fares are valid from 27-28 June 2026, from 00:00 WIB to 23:59 WIB.
