JAKARTA — The West Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department (Sudinhub Jakarta Barat) conducted an operation to curb shadow terminals on Thursday, 5 March 2026.

Agus Prasetiyo, Head of Operations at Sudinhub Jakarta Barat, said officers detained five Inter-Cprovincial buses (AKAP) found to have violated rules on boarding and alighting passengers at illegal locations.

‘There were five buses we took action against from three locations. The five buses were issued BAP Tilang sanctions by the Tim Lintas Jaya Sudinhub Jakarta Barat,’ Agus said in a statement on Thursday evening.

The actions were taken at spots frequently used as shadow terminals, namely the Cengkareng Toll Exit area, the Cengkareng Hanging Bridge area, and Jalan Outer Ring Road Kalideres.

The crackdown was carried out through joint patrols ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

‘The shadow terminal enforcement operation involved Tim Lintas Jaya Sudinhub, the Operational Control Section (Dalops) of the Tindak 2 Team of Sudinhub Jakarta Barat, and was directly assisted by the Satlantas Police of Metro Jakarta Barat,’ Agus said.

Agus emphasised that there will be no tolerance for public transport that still uses road shoulders as shadow terminals.

This joint operation will continue to be intensified to ensure smooth traffic and order in West Jakarta.
