The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigative team conducted a search at the private residence of Riyoso, Head of the Public Works Department (DPU) of Pati Regency and former Acting Regional Secretary (Pj Sekda) of Pati, on Friday 27 February. The search represents an expansion of the investigation into corruption allegations ensnaring Pati Regent (non-active) Sudewo.

Based on observations at the location, several KPK investigative team vehicles visited Riyoso’s residence located in Ngarus, Pati Sub-district, Pati Regency. The house is also known to function as a notary office and land title office belonging to Riyoso’s wife.

The search process was carried out under strict security by numerous uniformed and fully armed police personnel to secure the location and seek additional evidence.

This search step represents a follow-up to a series of investigations following a hand arrest operation (OTT) against Sudewo. Previously, KPK investigators had examined dozens of officials within the Pati Regency Government at Semarang Police Headquarters, ranging from the Acting Regent of Pati, the Head of the Pati Regional Representative Council, to village heads and prospective village officials.

Riyoso is considered a key figure because he held a strategic position and played a central role in Sudewo’s administration since 2025.

A resident who witnessed the process confirmed the arrival of the anti-corruption agency team. “It is true that it is Mr Riyoso’s house, several black KPK vehicles with police registration plates H were escorted by police at 14.15 WIB parked in the house’s yard, then at 14.20 one vehicle left the location,” he said.

Police standing guard confirmed the search activity but did not provide details about the evidence seized. The police’s role was limited to securing the location so the process could run smoothly.

Ngarus Village Official Harto stated that he attended to accompany the KPK officers on the instructions of the local village head. “I came here and KPK officers and law enforcement officials were already present, and I also accompanied the village head and village secretary,” Harto said.

Regarding details of documents or assets transported by investigators, Harto claimed not to know the specifics. “Regarding what was searched for and sought and transported by KPK investigators, I do not know for certain because as a village official I only witnessed the process taking place. It is still a search in progress inside the house which is also the office of Mrs Riyoso’s,” he added.
