Sudewo Bribery Case: KPK Summons Former Pati DPRD Chairman, Campaign Team Members, and Village Heads
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to investigate the alleged extortion case related to the selection of village officials in Pati Regency. A total of 13 witnesses were summoned by investigators on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
“The questioning took place at the Semarang Police Headquarters,” said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo in a written statement on Wednesday (February 25).
The thirteen witnesses come from various backgrounds. Among them are the former Chairman of the Pati Regency DPRD, Sunarwi, and a member of Sudewo’s campaign team, Syaiful Arifin.
In addition, the KPK also summoned a number of village heads, namely ES as the Head of Perdopo Village, SUS as the Head of Gajihan Village, TAF as the Head of Pundenrejo Village, SUY as the Head of Gesegan Village, WE as the Head of Mojo Village, YUN as the Head of Dororejo Village, and DT as the Head of Batursari Village.
Previously, on January 19, 2026, the KPK confirmed that it had conducted a sting operation in Pati Regency and arrested Sudewo.
A day later, on January 20, 2026, the KPK brought Sudewo along with seven other people to the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta.
On the same date, the KPK announced four suspects in the case of alleged corruption related to extortion in the filling of village official positions within the Pati Regency Government.
The four are Pati Regent Sudewo (SDW); Head of Karangrowo Village, Jakenan District, Abdul Suyono (YON); Head of Arumanis Village, Jaken District, Sumarjiono (JION); and Head of Sukorukun Village, Jaken District, Karjan (JAN).
In addition to this case, the KPK also named Sudewo as a suspect in the case of alleged bribery related to the construction and maintenance of railway lines within the Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation. (Ant/P-4)
