Sudaryono Appointed Head of National Nutrition Agency, Inauguration Today

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi announced that President Prabowo Subianto has appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono as the new Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). Sudaryono replaces Nanik S. Deyang, who officially tendered her resignation due to health reasons. The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to take place at the State Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday at 15:00 WIB. Prasetyo stated that Sudaryono’s appointment is a definitive one and he will relinquish his position as Deputy Minister of Agriculture. The decision was influenced by Sudaryono’s extensive involvement from the outset in formulating the concept and technical execution of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme. His experience leading the Ministry of Agriculture is considered a strategic asset, as the success of the programme is heavily dependent on the stability of the national food supply and raw material provision.
