Sudanese vice-president to visit RI

JAKARTA: Sudanese First Vice President Ali Osman Taha will pay
a three-day visit to Indonesia, the foreign ministry said Friday.

Taha is due to arrive on Saturday and will witness the signing
of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation, the ministry
said in a statement.

He will also visit the national aircraft manufacturer
Indonesia Aerospace in the city of Bandung and inaugurate the
Indonesia-Sudan Friendship Islamic University at Malang in East
Java.

He will leave Indonesia on Tuesday.

Indonesian President Megawati Sukarnoputri visited Sudan in
February as part of a tour of the Middle East and Africa. -- AFP
