In many rural areas, a village bridge not only connects two regions but also supports the livelihoods of residents. A single village bridge can facilitate the mobility of numerous people, from schoolchildren to farmers transporting their harvests.

Similarly, residents of Dusun Ciharashas and Dusun Cijambe in Desa Caringin, Garut, West Java, can now enjoy safer and more adequate access following the inauguration of the “Jembatan Amanah”, built by Sucor Asset Management (Sucor AM) in partnership with Rumah Wakaf.

Previously, residents of both hamlets had to use a simple wooden and bamboo bridge that was easily damaged and even swept away during floods. This condition often hindered the daily activities of residents, from work to children going to school.

The bridge, inaugurated on Thursday (9/4/2026), is part of Sucor AM’s efforts to provide social benefits through investment management.

“We realise that access is a very basic need. With this bridge, we hope that residents’ mobility becomes safer, easier, and smoother, both for daily activities, children’s education, and community economic activities,” said Director and Chair of the ESG and Philanthropy Committee of Sucor AM, Fajrin Hermansyah, in a written statement on Wednesday (29/4/2026).

Fajrin revealed that the construction of Jembatan Amanah was funded through cleansing funds from Sucor AM’s sharia mutual fund products, channelled to provide sustainable social benefits. The name “Jembatan Amanah” itself reflects the trust of investors manifested in the form of direct impact on people’s lives.

“This is part of our commitment to be present not only in managing investments but also in providing real impact to society through ESG and philanthropy programmes,” Fajrin continued.
