Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Sucofindo (Persero) has reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility as a state-owned enterprise through Qurban sacrifices conducted across multiple regions of Indonesia during Eid al-Adha 1447 AH on 27 May.

The initiative was carried out at the company’s headquarters, branches, and service units as a tangible implementation of communal values and mutual cooperation for the community.

In a statement in Jakarta on Thursday, PT Sucofindo (Persero) President Director Sandry Pasambuna said Eid al-Adha is a crucial moment to reinforce sincerity and compassion towards others.

According to Sandry, as a state-owned enterprise, the company continuously strives to provide sustainable social contributions to the community through various initiatives, including annual Qurban distribution.

“Therefore, we aim to make this Qurban activity an annual company agenda. In the future, we hope the spirit of sharing continues to grow, with an increased number of sacrificial animals distributed, so that more communities can benefit,” Sandry added.

In line with this, PT Sucofindo (Persero) Human Resources Director Budi Utomo stated that the spirit of sharing and social responsibility has become part of the company’s culture, which is consistently upheld.

“As an SOE, Sucofindo has a responsibility to the community. This Eid al-Adha initiative is one way to contribute tangibly to communities around our operational areas. The spirit of sharing and social responsibility is part of our company culture, which we continue to uphold,” Budi said.

This year’s Qurban initiative saw Sucofindo distribute 37 cattle and 35 goats to communities around its operational areas. The distribution was coordinated through branches and service units across Indonesia to ensure wider and more targeted benefits.

As a state-owned enterprise in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) sector, the company emphasises that it is not only focused on strengthening business and services but also actively implementing sustainable social contributions.

This commitment aligns with the company’s support for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in areas such as no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, and reduced inequalities.

Budi Utomo further added that Eid al-Adha serves as an important reminder of the need to strengthen community care and mutual cooperation.

“With the spirit of Ensuring Quality, Protecting Trust, PT Sucofindo (Persero), in its role as an SOE in the TIC sector, continues to actively contribute to social and environmental sustainability,” he said.

Beyond social activities through Qurban, Sucofindo has also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the national halal ecosystem. As a Halal Inspection Agency (LPH), the company is prepared to ensure halal certification processes, including in the meat and slaughter services sector.

The company is competent in inspecting slaughterhouses (RPH) and poultry slaughterhouses (RPU) to ensure all processes comply with the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH).

Additionally, the company provides one-stop services for halal product certification, Muslim-friendly tourism certification, and food safety certifications including Organic Food Certification, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), and SNI ISO 22000 for Food Safety Management Systems.
