Sucofindo expands testing, inspection and certification services in Aceh
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Sucofindo (Persero) is expanding its testing, inspection and certification (TIC) services with the inauguration of a marketing office in Banda Aceh, Aceh Province.
Independent Commissioner of Sucofindo, Zainal Abidin, stated that the company is committed to providing TIC services throughout Indonesia, from Sabang to Merauke.
“The opening of the Aceh Marketing Office is a strategic step in expanding service coverage and improving proximity to customers and stakeholders in the Aceh region,” he said while attending the inauguration of the office in Banda Aceh on Wednesday (June 3, 2026).
The Mayor of Banda Aceh, Illiza Sa’aduddin Djamal, who also attended the inauguration, said that Sucofindo’s presence provides new access for businesses in Aceh to develop and strengthen their competitiveness in an increasingly competitive market.
“We see Sucofindo’s presence not only as a testing or certification agency, but as a strategic partner for the region. A partner that helps our businesses receive guidance, improve product quality, strengthen competitiveness, and open up greater market opportunities,” she said.
She explained that the local government continues to encourage the acceleration of halal certification for MSMEs, in line with the implementation of Islamic Sharia and the Aceh Halal Product Guarantee Law.
“Therefore, the presence of an institution that ensures the quality and safety of products is very strategic in protecting the public while also strengthening market confidence,” she said.
Illiza added that the local government is open to continuing to strengthen cooperation and collaborate with the state-owned enterprise in the future, both in the development of MSMEs, improving the quality of local products, strengthening investment, and various programs that support the economic growth of the community.
Meanwhile, Commercial Director of Sucofindo, Agus Permadi, said that the company is not only present as a provider of TIC services, but also as a strategic partner that supports economic development and improves the competitiveness of national and regional industries.
“As a TIC company, we are ready to assist local businesses, including MSMEs, so that they can meet the standards required by the market, so that they can expand business opportunities and increase the added value of local products,” he said.
In conjunction with the inauguration of the office, the company also provided halal certificates to MSMEs in Aceh.
Meanwhile, President Director of Sucofindo, Sandry Pasambuna, hopes that the presence of the marketing office can strengthen collaboration with various sectors to encourage sustainable economic growth.
“We hope that this Aceh Marketing Office can become one of the growth engines in the Sumatra region and also provide contributions to customers, the community and MSMEs for sustainable development, and that businesses, especially in the Aceh region, can continue to develop and have stronger competitiveness,” he said.
