Succession worries

Merdeka on May 29, 1996, said that Soeharto was not going to
prepare any of his children to succeed him as leader of
Indonesia. In his capacity as Chairman of the Institution for
Strategic Studies, former Home Minister Rudini said that the
people should not worry about succession because there are many
national leaders who can be trusted and are capable of running
the country.

To prepare a special candidate for the presidential post is
abusing the ideals and themes of Pancasila and the 1945
Constitution.
