Substandard water supplied to houses

JAKARTA (JP): Customers of the Bogor state-owned water company
have expressed deep concern over the service provided by the
company, which they claim has continued to supply them dirty
water.

They said they could not consume the water supplied.

A number of housewives in Ciomas and Taman Pagelaran in Bogor
regency who rely solely on water provided by the company for
their household needs have repeatedly filed complaints with the
company's management, but their complaints have simply fallen on
deaf ears.

According to them, it seems the water company ignored their
complaints because every time they inquire about the matter
company officials simply answer that they are seeking ways to
overcome the problem. "But up to now no action has been taken,"
one of the housewives told Antara on Tuesday.

They once again called on the authorities to do something to
solve the problem. (bas)
