Subsidised Fuel Barcode Suddenly Disappears: Pertamina's Explanation
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Complaints about the sudden disappearance of subsidised fuel barcodes have been widely discussed among users. Many members of the public who were previously registered in the targeted subsidy programme now have to repeat the process from the beginning.
The barcode, typically used to purchase Solar or Pertalite through the MyPertamina app or official website, has been reported to vanish abruptly without clear notification.
This situation is understandably confusing, especially for users who rely on subsidised fuel for their daily activities.
“I only found out about the barcode disappearance notification on 22 April. After checking the Pertamina targeted subsidy website, it turns out it happened since 19 April, and I was asked to re-register,” said Narendra to Kompas.com (26/4/2026).
He immediately followed the instructions to re-register. However, the process did not go smoothly.
This phenomenon is not an isolated case. Many other users have reported similar incidents in recent times. In response, Pertamina has provided an official explanation.
According to the Instagram of Pertamina Contact Center 135, a process of updating and adjusting consumer data is currently underway. This was also confirmed by Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth Dumatubun.
“Consumers can contact 135 to re-verify their data if they are indeed subsidy users,” he said.
This means the disappearance of the barcode is not without reason. Pertamina’s system periodically conducts verification and data cleansing to ensure that only eligible consumers can continue to access subsidised fuel.
Ensure all inputted data, including the vehicle registration number, is correct and accurate to avoid rejection again.
