PT Pupuk Kujang has stated that the availability of subsidised fertiliser in Karawang Regency and West Java is secure ahead of the third planting season, which takes place in August-September 2026.

“As a fertiliser producer in Indonesia, PT Pupuk Kujang continues to produce in order to meet fertiliser availability,” said Dondon Try Laksono, External Relations Officer at PT Pupuk Kujang’s Corporate Communication and Administration Department, when contacted in Karawang, West Java, on Friday.

He said that the current availability of subsidised fertiliser, including urea, NPK and organic fertiliser, is sufficient to meet the needs of farmers during the third planting season.

Based on available stock data, for the Karawang area, the current urea supply stands at 2,625.06 tonnes. NPK fertiliser amounts to 2,000.49 tonnes and organic fertiliser to 204.37 tonnes. The total stock of urea, NPK and organic fertiliser therefore reaches approximately 4,829.92 tonnes.

According to Dondon, fertiliser stock availability is one of the important factors in maintaining smooth fertiliser distribution for farmers, particularly in meeting fertiliser needs during the planting season.

He said that adequate stock at the regional level is expected to support timely fertiliser distribution, so that farmers’ needs can be met and agricultural productivity is maintained.

Meanwhile, according to data from Pupuk Indonesia, the realisation of subsidised fertiliser distribution in West Java Province up to the end of July 2026 has reached 55 percent of the total 2026 allocation of 1,070,997 tonnes.

The realisation of subsidised fertiliser distribution consists of 295,037 tonnes of urea, 292,619 tonnes of NPK Phonska, and 331 tonnes of ZA fertiliser. As for organic fertiliser, distribution realisation has reached 2,004 tonnes.
