Subang Health Authority Deploys Medical Personnel and Measles Vaccines at Homecoming Security Posts
Facing the surge in Eid exodus in 1447 Hijri, the Subang District Health Authority in West Java has mobilised hundreds of medical personnel and dozens of ambulances at various homecoming security posts.
Beyond providing healthcare services to travellers, officers also offer measles-rubella vaccination to prevent disease transmission during periods of increased population mobility.
The medical personnel deployed consist of general practitioners, nurses, midwives and ambulances to meet healthcare needs during the Eid exodus. They will be stationed at various homecoming security posts and will work alongside officers from other relevant agencies.
Throughout the homecoming period, medical personnel and ambulances will be on standby twenty-four hours a day to provide rapid assistance for travellers experiencing accidents or health issues during their journeys.
Additionally, hospitals and health centres in Subang District have been placed on alert to support healthcare services during the Eid exodus season.
As an additional preventive measure, the Health Authority has also launched measles-rubella vaccination services at various ambulance units stationed at homecoming posts.
“This year, in addition to serving homecoming travellers, we are also providing measles vaccination services for children at every healthcare service post spread across ten strategic points across northern, central and southern Subang,” said Subang District Health Authority Head Dwinan Marchiwati on Thursday (12 March).
This policy is being implemented to anticipate potential surges in measles cases, which frequently occur when population mobility increases during extended holiday periods.
