Suahasil Completes Official Reshuffle Following Purbaya Era
Jakarta, VIVA – Finance Minister Suaheral Nazara stated that the inauguration of officials on Monday, 21 September 2026, marks the final stage in the series of appointments and refinements within the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu).
As is well known, the series of reshuffles and mutations within the Ministry of Finance has been ongoing since the era of the previous Finance Minister, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.
“This is a continuation of the appointments within the Ministry of Finance, because those inaugurated during the previous session have already commenced their duties,” Suahasil said at the Ministry of Finance, Jakarta, on Monday, 21 September 2026.
“In the last few days, there have been several refinements regarding the appointment of these Echelon II officials,” she added.
Today, Suahasil inaugurated 12 High-Level Primary Officials (Echelon II) of the Ministry of Finance, as well as two officials within the Secretariat of the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) at the Mezzanine Hall, Ministry of Finance.
She explained that the inauguration is a follow-up to the official appointment process conducted previously. Officials who participated in earlier ceremonies have officially assumed their roles, while the placement of several other officials has been refined based on the deliberations of the Board of Consideration for Positions and Ranks (Baperjakat).
“This is the refinement following that process. Those who participated in the previous inauguration are already performing their duties. This is the completion of that process,” she said.
The Ministry of Finance’s Baperjakat involves all heads of Echelon I units to submit proposals from their respective units while providing assessments during the recruitment process. This mechanism covers the appointment of High-Level Primary Officials, administrative officials, and functional officials.
In accordance with regulations, High-Level Primary Officials are inaugurated by the Finance Minister, whereas administrative officials and other personnel are inaugurated by their respective Echelon I unit heads.
The appointment process is part of the implementation of the merit system within the Ministry of Finance through a talent management mechanism that considers employee performance and characteristics. With the completion of all placement processes through mutations and promotions, the Ministry of Finance’s personnel are now directed to focus on executing their duties according to their respective functions.
“So that it is finalised; the entire process of mutations and promotions is complete. I have requested all officials within the Ministry of Finance to now focus on working and completing all of the Ministry’s tasks for Indonesia,” she concluded.
