Stumbled by Amsal Sitepu Case, Karo Chief Prosecutor Danke Rajagukguk Officially Replaced

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Attorney General ST Burhanuddin has conducted a mutation of Danke Rajagukguk, who previously served as the Chief Prosecutor (Kajari) of Karo. Through the Decree of the Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia Number KEP-IV-347/C/04/2026 dated 13 April 2026, Danke has been replaced by Edmond Novvery Purba, who previously held the position of Chief Prosecutor of South Nias. “It is true (the mutation),” said the Head of the Public Relations and Protocols Division of the Attorney General’s Office, Anang Supriatna, to reporters on Monday (13/4/2026). Danke Rajagukguk, Anang explained, has been subjected to a diagonal mutation. “For Karo, Ms Danke has been diagonally mutated, meaning she is not in a structural position but in a functional position for now. And this also commonly occurs in Ministries/Institutions,” Anang stated. Danke is known to have been examined by the Attorney General’s Office since Saturday (4/4/2026) regarding the Amsal Sitepu case. In addition to Danke, the Republic of Indonesia Attorney General’s Office has also secured the Head of the Special Crimes Section (Kasi Pidsus) of the Karo District Prosecutor’s Office, Reinhard Harve Sembiring, as well as two public prosecutors (JPU) handling the videographer Amsal Sitepu case.
