Students told to don masks

JAMBI: Head of the Jambi education office Madil HS has
instructed all students to wear surgical masks to reduce the
adverse health effects of the severe haze enveloping the
province.

"We've instructed all students to wear a mask because, based
on reports from the health office, the haze in Jambi contains
increasing amounts of dust particles," he said as quoted by
Antara yesterday.

Students have also been instructed not to engage in any
outdoor activities.

He said a letter on the instructions had been sent to school
headmasters. (mds)
