Students protest UAN rating

PALU, Central Sulawesi: More than 200 students from the Coalition of Senior High Schools in Palu demonstrated at the Central Sulawesi legislative council on Friday to oppose the policy of standardizing the evaluation in the national final exams (UAN).

They said the standard UAN rating of 4.01 should be lowered to 3.01, as set last year. The protesters threatened to boycott the central government-sponsored exams on Monday in Palu.

The senior high school students, wearing school uniform, were unable to meet with leaders or members of the council commission for people's welfare as they were in recess. --JP
