Director of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), Hendra Tanumihardja, said the BBI or BCA Berbagi Ilmu programme is a form of industry commitment to supporting education by opening opportunities for students to learn directly from practitioners and company leaders. “BCA’s presence at Untirta serves as a bridge for students in the transition from the academic world to a resilient professional,” Hendra said during the event at Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, Serang, as quoted in an official statement in Jakarta on Wednesday. During the event, Hendra urged students not to fear failure in pursuit of success. He said the younger generation should view failure as a process to rise and grow, especially in a world that is increasingly competitive and dynamic. “Just as the Ukemi philosophy in martial arts teaches, the younger generation should interpret a fall as an opportunity to rise again,” he said. He explained that the Ukemi philosophy is also applied in the company’s work culture to build resilience in facing business challenges and economic changes. Meanwhile, BCA EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility Hera F. Haryn regarded education as an important investment for the nation’s future. According to Hera, the knowledge-sharing program not only presents theory but also helps students understand the dynamics of the working world more realistically. “We also open broader opportunities for collaboration with higher education institutions,” Hera said. During the event, a Solar Panel Charging Station facility was handed over to support a green campus concept at Untirta. The gazebo-shaped facility uses solar energy to power device charging while also serving as a space for students to study, discuss, and socialise. Hera hopes the availability of the facility will raise awareness among the academic community of using environmentally friendly energy solutions and support teaching and learning activities on campus.
