Students Disband from DPR Front, Long March Towards Semanggi

A group of students staging a demonstration in front of the DPR/MPR RI building on Jalan Sudirman, Jakarta, disbanded themselves. They dispersed by walking together, or long march, towards Semanggi. According to monitoring at the location on Monday (15/6/2026), the crowd began to disband at 17:49 WIB. The crowd walked while holding hands. The command vehicle that had been used for the demonstration also left the protest area. Floral wreaths, graffiti, and banners of demands were still visible at the DPR gate. Police were still seen guarding the vicinity. Traffic flow was observed to be smooth. Earlier, the crowd had held a demonstration at 15:50 WIB. The crowd, wearing different university jackets, conducted a long march from the Semanggi area towards the DPR building. They consisted of students from Paramadina University and STIAMI Institute. The student crowd carried two floral wreaths containing criticism of the government and the DPR. “Every day there is always bad news from our government. We as students, our people are already angry enough with the government,” said an orator speaking in front of the DPR building. In addition to the DPR gate, student groups also held demonstrations around the Horse Statue, Dukuh Atas, and the back gate of the DPR building. Representatives of the crowd around the Horse Statue were seen entering the Vice President’s office. Meanwhile, the crowd at the back gate of the DPR had already disbanded.
