Students Disband, but Protesters Remain at Tosari Near Bundaran HI
Student protesters have dispersed from the demonstration site on Jalan Sudirman, Central Jakarta. However, a group of protesters remains in the Tosari area.
Based on monitoring at Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jakarta, on Friday (12/6/2026) at 20:35 WIB, students from the Bogor Agricultural Institute (Institut Pertanian Bogor) were seen leaving the location. Earlier, students from Pancasila University and the University of Indonesia had also dispersed since 19:38 WIB. Despite this, some protesters remain at the site.
The remaining protesters are not wearing university jackets like the students. Some of them are wearing masks. They are positioned in front of the police barricade. Traffic on Jalan Sudirman heading towards the Bundaran HI has been diverted to Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur III. Motorcyclists are seen turning their vehicles around, and some residents are watching the demonstration from the location.
Meanwhile, traffic flow towards Semanggi remains open, with vehicles moving normally. Central Jakarta Police Chief Senior Commissioner Reynold Hutagalung was seen talking with the protesters, asking them to disperse so that Jalan Sudirman towards Bundaran HI could be reopened. He invited the protesters to walk towards Semanggi. Some followed, while others remained at Tosari. The barricade blocking the protesters has been opened, but traffic has not yet returned to normal.
