Students and Online Ride-Hailing Drivers Eager Ahead of Jogja Financial Festival
Yogyakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Jogja Financial Festival 2026 has attracted wide attention from various segments of society. From students, online ride-hailing drivers to private sector employees, all are highly enthusiastic about the event.
A fresh graduate from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Arum, said she is keen to participate in Jogja Financial Festival 2026. As a new graduate, the Yogyakarta native wants to take part in the series of events, from the Business Talk, Career Corner to performances by top artists such as Ari Lasso, Juicy Lucy and Ndarboy Genk.
‘Because I’m curious about the JFF event’s Business Talk. So I registered as well; I want to see the performances, it’s like a free concert,’ Arum told CNBC Indonesia at Jogja Expo Center on Thursday 21 May 2026.
Not only students, Arbian Aji Pratama, an online ride-hailing driver from Yogyakarta, said he was enthusiastic to attend the business talks as well as financial education classes in the Jogja Financial Festival 2026.
It is no wonder that Aji is so keen to attend the event. There are several officials attending and performances by top artists such as Ari Lasso and a comedian from the Lapor Pak! programme.
’ I want to join this because it’s a rare opportunity to meet directly many important figures and public figures in one event. From officials, there are Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, Mahfud MD, to national economic and banking figures. From artists and entertainers it’s also going to be exciting because there is Ari Lasso, Juicy Lucy, and others,’ he said in a separate interview.
In addition to entertainment, Aji is also interested in Jogja Financial Festival 2026 because it offers a chance to learn about finance, investments and Indonesia’s economy directly from experts. Furthermore, he believes learning about financial literacy and building a business is important for young people.
Meanwhile, Bayu, a private sector employee from Yogyakarta, also wishes to attend.
’ I’m very keen to watch Ari Lasso; I love his songs and can’t wait to see him tomorrow at the Jogja Financial Festival,’ he said.
For information, Jogja Financial Festival 2026 will be held on 22-23 May 2026 at Jogja Expo Center (JEC), Yogyakarta. The event will be opened by the Rector of Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Prof. Ova Emilia.
In the event, Prof Ova will also participate in Business Talks. The festival will bring together stakeholders in the financial sector, from policymakers, regulators, financial industry players, academics, to the wider public to discuss, share perspectives, and drive improvements in financial literacy in Indonesia.
In addition to Prof Ova, the Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X as host will also participate, including in the Business Talks session.
Jogja Financial Festival 2026 will feature a number of interesting activities, such as business talks, educational classes, and career corners. Not to mention, the event will also feature Stand-Up Comedy by Kiky Saputri and musical performances by top artists such as Ari Lasso, Happy Asmara and Juicy Lucy.
Furthermore, the event will be enlivened by Jogja Run D-City consisting of a Fun Run 5K and Race Run 10K with prizes totalling tens of millions of rupiah.
