Student suspected in murder case

JAKARTA (JP): Police have said a student of Pangudi Rahayu
technical vocational high school may soon be declared the prime
suspect in the murder of a student from Budi Murni 4 vocational
high school (STM) in the East Jakarta subdistrict of Cipayung on
Thursday.

Cipayung Police chief Capt. Ngatemin M.S. said late Friday
night that of the 11 students questioned in connection with the
murder of Denny Chandra on Thursday, one particular student may
soon be declared the main suspect.

"I cannot give you his name now. We are still investigating
nine students from Pangudi Rahayu, one from Penerbangan technical
vocational high school and one from Budi Murni 4, which the
victim attended," Ngatemin told reporters.

STM Budi Murni 4 was attacked by at least five rival schools
in the neighborhood on Thursday morning. Eighteen-year-old Denny
was killed in the attack. The school building was also damaged.
