Student Representatives from Horse Statue Protest Enter Vice President's Office

Representatives of students staging a demonstration near the Horse Statue in Central Jakarta entered the office of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. They claimed to have entered carrying a number of demands. Based on monitoring at the location on Monday (15/6/2026), they entered the Vice Presidential Palace at 17:19 WIB. Fifteen students wearing red and blue university jackets were seen entering. They were checked by security officers at the Vice President’s office before entering. It is not yet known whom the student representatives will meet inside the Vice President’s office. “Our struggle has borne fruit, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka is receiving us, to convey our aspirations. We are urging the Vice President to bring our demands to the Palace,” said the student demonstration orator. Previously, masses from UBK and MH Thamrin University held a protest today. The crowd conducted a long march on foot from the Tugu Tani area to the Horse Statue Junction via Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Central Jakarta.
