Student nabbed for dealing drugs

TANGERANG: Police arrested a private university student at a
food stall near Cisauk railway station, Cisauk district,
Tangerang regency on Monday evening for supplying senior high
school students in the district with marijuana.

The police seized one kilogram of marijuana from the suspect,
identified as Hendra Permana, 22, a resident of Cibogo village,
Cisauk.

According to First. Insp. Kosasih -- Tangerang police's drug
unit chief detective -- the arrest followed a tip-off, with local
residents saying that the suspect frequently dealt drugs at a
food stall.

"In response to resident's complaints, we sent several plain-
clothes officers to the food stall pretending to be drug users
who wanted to buy marijuana," Kosasih said.

He said that the officers nabbed the suspect as he produced
two envelopes of marijuana. They also found dozens of envelopes
containing marijuana at the suspect's home. --JP
