Student Masses Stage Protest in Dukuh Atas

Students from Universitas Terbuka (UT) and Universitas Nasional (Unas) staged a protest in the Dukuh Atas area on Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta. The student masses crowded the road in front of the office buildings.

Based on monitoring at the location on Monday (15/6/2026) at 17.30 WIB, the protesters were seen sitting in groups on the road while listening to speeches delivered by orators through loudspeakers. The orator stood in the middle of the crowd of students, conveying the demands of the protest.

In front of the student masses, police personnel formed a long barricade. Officers stood in tight rows to oversee the demonstration.

The students participating in the protest appeared to be wearing various attributes from their respective university alma maters. Several participants were seen wearing green, yellow, and blue alma mater jackets.

As a result of this demonstration, traffic around the location was congested. Vehicles passing through Jalan MH Thamrin appeared to be at a standstill. Only one lane was opened at the site.
