Student Kicked Off Motorcycle in Cileungsi, 20 Teenagers Detained
A junior high school student in Cileungsi, Bogor, was left with facial injuries after being kicked off his motorcycle by a group of students from a rival school. A viral video showed the uniformed victim sitting by the roadside with a bruised and bloodied face following the incident on Thursday (13/8/2026) in Pasir Angin, Cileungsi, Bogor Regency.
Cileungsi Police Chief Kompol Edison confirmed that officers immediately visited the scene to investigate. The investigation revealed the incident was not a mob attack as initially circulated on social media. The victim was allegedly intimidated by a group of students who deliberately boxed in his motorcycle, causing him to fall.
Police swiftly detained around 20 minors believed to be involved in the incident. The parents of both the victim and the detained students were summoned for questioning and further resolution proceedings. During questioning witnessed by their parents, several of the detained students admitted to consuming alcohol.
The victim’s family chose not to file a police report and requested the matter be settled through family mediation. Kompol Edison reminded students to refrain from violence, brawling, and actions that endanger themselves and others, while urging parents to increase supervision of their children’s social circles. He stressed that inter-school rivalries must never justify acts of violence on the road.
