Student Initiative to Strengthen MBG Programme Governance Receives Full Backing

The Central Leadership Council of Advocates for the People of the Archipelago (DPP ARUN) has expressed full support for the Aliansi Mahasiswa Menjawab (AMM) in conducting research and a live-in programme at several Nutritional Service Fulfilment Units (SPPG). This statement followed a joint discussion with the student alliance, which featured the main agenda of presenting pre-research findings from a live-in programme at the Mekar Baru SPPG kitchen in Tangerang and discussing the implementation of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution. The strategic forum was attended by DPP ARUN officials, LBH Tridharma Indonesia, the Mekar Baru BGN District Coordinator, Srikandi DPP ARUN, UMKM supply chain actors for the Mekar Baru SPPG, Mekar Baru BUMDes, the PIC of SPPG Muli Merauke, the Mekar Baru SPPG Field Assistant, and representatives from six foundations managing the Nutritional Service Fulfilment Units (SPPG). DPP ARUN provided full moral support for the research and live-in programme carried out by the student alliance across various SPPGs in Indonesia. DPP ARUN Chairman Bob Hasan described the students’ efforts as a roadmap for realising social justice with a just and civilised humanitarian spirit. Findings from the pre-research and live-in programme at SPPG Mekar Baru, Tangerang, Banten, demonstrated the concrete impact of SPPG governance on the local economy when implemented according to the technical guidelines, standard operating procedures, and Presidential Regulation No. 115 of 2025. DPP ARUN Secretary-General Bungas T. Fernando Duling stated that the student research clearly and tangibly showed the real impact of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution on microeconomic growth. The absorption of UMSEs into the supply chain and the involvement of local workers as kitchen volunteers have proven to increase the purchasing power of the local community. Srikandi DPP ARUN Chairwoman Linda Kartika Dewi also expressed full support for the research and stressed the importance of synchronising three key data points: transparency of achievement data and nutritional growth of MBG programme beneficiaries; real-time data on supply chain absorption from local UMKM, cooperatives, farmers, and ranchers at SPPG; and data on local purchasing power growth resulting from the absorption of local labour and volunteers.
