Student in Palmerah Slashed on Head by Group of Unknown Assailants
A student became the victim of a slashing to the head by a number of unidentified persons, suspected to be fellow students, on Jalan Kali Sekretaris, near SMP 101 Kemanggisan, Palmerah, West Jakarta. The victim, Davi Sepriansah, 16, recounted that the incident occurred on Monday around 3:30 p.m. Western Indonesia Time, while he was escorting his relative, Abas, 16, home. “We were near his house, he was in front of me, I was behind. Then, my relative was almost hit, so he swerved. I was behind him. I looked left first, because I was worried about a motorbike. When I looked right, I was slashed here (on the head),” Davi said in Jakarta on Tuesday. According to him, the attackers numbered four people and used two motorbikes. “After slashing me, they immediately fled. I screamed, I was in total shock. He (my relative) held my head, I kept screaming, and they fled to the left,” Davi revealed. The attackers were wearing jackets and masks. One of the suspected attackers also appeared to be wearing school trousers. As a result of the incident, Davi had to be rushed to the hospital and received three stitches to his head. The victim’s older sister, Devi Mariana, 30, said the case has been reported to the police. She hopes the perpetrators will be arrested soon. “It has been reported to the police, and it has been handed over to the district police because it is said to involve minors,” Devi said.
