Student in Banyuwangi Explicit Video Case Named Suspect

Police in Banyuwangi have officially named a man with the initials MD as a suspect. The male performer in a viral explicit student video has been detained since 1 August 2026.

Banyuwangi Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, Kompol Lanang Teguh Pambudi, stated that the suspect’s status is that of a child in conflict with the law (ABH).

“The determination of the suspect was based on the results of a case conference and sufficient evidence,” he said on Tuesday (4/8/2026).

Lanang explained that the case was handled by the police after the female performer’s parents filed an official report. He emphasized that the investigation’s focus is purely on the reported criminal act, separate from the video’s viral circulation. During the investigation, police have examined three witnesses.
