Student Demonstration Today in Gambir, Central Jakarta: Traffic Alerts Issued

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Student demonstrations are set to take place on Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan in Gambir, Central Jakarta, at 11:00 WIB on Monday, 25 April 2026.

The Public Relations Head of the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police District, Iptu Erlyn Sumantri, stated that the protest will be organised by the Student Movement Concerned with Democracy.

“The protest is scheduled for 11:00 WIB,” Erlyn said in a written statement on Monday.

Traffic diversions at the protest site will be implemented situationally based on crowd numbers.

“Residents are advised to use alternative routes during the protest,” he added.
