Student arrested over molestation

TANGERANG: The Tangerang police arrested on Sunday a student of Cikupa state senior high school for allegedly sexually molesting five boys and a girl over the past four years.

The suspect, identified as 15-year-old Hasanudin, admitted that he abused the children, aged between six and nine years old, as he was sexually abused when he was at elementary school.

He lured the victims with toys before taking them to an empty house near his parent's house in Sukatani subdistrict, Rajeg district, Tangerang.

Tangerang Police chief Insp. Kustanto said the suspect was arrested following a complaint from the father of one of the victim's, who reported the crime to the police on Sunday afternoon. --JP
