Student arrested for drug dealing

PURWOKERTO, Central Java: The police have arrested a 24-year- old student on suspicion of drug trafficking.

The Banyumas Police Chief Col. Demak Lubis said yesterday that the police confiscated marijuana from the suspect, who is known as an alcoholic and a drug addict.

The suspect admitted that he obtained the drugs from Jakarta and sold them to his friends on campus, but he refused to identify the buyers. He told the police he had been selling drugs for three years.

He said he had been addicted to drugs since he was in high school.

Several bottles of liquor were found in his room. (sim)
