Strong Winds Topple Trees in Badung and Tabanan
Weather conditions across several locations in Bali remain abnormal, with overcast skies, light rain and considerable winds that have toppled trees.
One incident occurred in Banjar Batusari, Sangeh Village, Abiansemal District, Badung Regency, Bali, where a sizeable tree fell onto a residential building on Sunday, 1 March.
A similar incident occurred in Tabanan Regency, specifically in Banjar Denuma, Kukuh Village, Marga District. Fortunately, there were no fatalities, though the roof tiles of a house belonging to grandfather Ebek were damaged.
βThe incident happened early Sunday morning at 01:00 Wita due to strong winds. There were no fatalities, but roof tiles were damaged,β said the village chief of Kukuh, I Made Sugianto, on Sunday, 1 March.
To prevent further incidents, authorities facilitated the felling of several trees near residential buildings that posed a risk of toppling during strong winds.
The Indonesian Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysical Agency, Regional Office III Denpasar, has predicted that winds will continue at speeds of 8 to 48 km/h over the next two days through Monday, 2 March, blowing from south-westerly to westerly directions.

Heavy rainfall toppled a sizeable tree that struck the roof of a warehouse building in Banjar Benehkawan, Blahkiuh Village, Abiansemal District, Badung Regency. The incident left 2 people trapped in a vehicle, requiring evacuation assistance with specialist handling.
