Strong Winds Strike Tamansari Bogor, Six Homes Damaged
Heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds struck Tamansari village, Tamansari District, Bogor, West Java. Several homes were reported to have sustained damage as a result of the incident.
“Heavy rainfall with intense winds occurred in the Tamansari area, causing damage to the roofs of several residents’ homes,” said M Adam Hamdani, Head of Emergency and Logistics at the Bogor Regency Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, 10 March. Adam stated that a total of six residential properties sustained roof damage.
“The affected victims, based on preliminary rapid assessment findings, are six units of homes with minor damage, with some asbestos sheets and roof tiles blown away by the wind,” he explained.
Adam said there were no fatalities in the incident. Officers immediately proceeded to the scene and initiated disaster response procedures.
Currently, the damaged homes remain occupied by their owners. The damage has not yet been repaired by the residents.
“The final situation of the affected homes remains occupied by their owners and debris has been cleared. The affected homes have not yet been repaired,” he concluded.
