Strong Performance: Jayamas Medica Industri (OMED) Profit Grows 35.4 Percent
PT Jayamas Medica Industri Tbk (OMED) recorded solid financial performance in the first quarter of 2026, supported by growth in sales volume across key segments and improved profitability. The company booked net sales of Rp 572.2 billion in Q1 2026, up 31.1 percent year-on-year (YoY) from Rp 436.3 billion in the same period the previous year. This growth was driven by a 54.1 percent surge in sales volume to 941.9 million units. The volume increase aligned with rising government spending in the health sector at the start of 2026, which boosted demand for medical devices in the domestic market. Amid the volume growth, average selling prices (ASP) in some segments were adjusted, particularly for high-volume products. Operational performance was reflected in the EBITDA margin rising to 23.0 percent. The company recorded operating profit of Rp 112.0 billion, up 67.8 percent YoY, driven by operational leverage from increased volume. Meanwhile, net profit for the year reached Rp 99.0 billion, a 35.4 percent YoY increase from Rp 73.1 billion in Q1 2025. The net profit margin remained stable at 17.3 percent. From an operational perspective, this quarter’s performance was supported by several key segments. The disposable medical goods (BMHP) segment recorded 83.2 percent YoY volume growth, with total sales up 22.6 percent YoY despite ASP adjustments. The diagnostics and medical equipment segment was a major driver with 68.6 percent YoY growth, supported by volume surges despite price adjustments. The biotechnology and laboratory segment achieved the highest growth of 199.7 percent YoY, driven by ASP increases. The walking aids and rehabilitation equipment segment also grew steadily by 18.3 percent YoY.
