Strong leaders required
Strong leaders required
From Media Indonesia
Indonesia is struggling to overcome various complex and
crucial problems as most areas of public life are affected by
corruption.
Consequently, disparities in social, economic, political,
cultural, legal and religious spheres are broadening while
justice is becoming increasingly remote from reality.
Under such circumstances, Indonesia needs strong leaders to
rid the country of its multidimensional crisis. Strong leadership
should be reflected in the moral, intellectual and managerial
aspects of public administration.
Like our founding fathers, whose pioneering role led to
national independence, present leaders should also serve as role
models of moral integrity, intellectual capacity and managerial
skill in setting the nation free from the culture of corruption.
So far, they have failed to develop themselves into such
figures, so that the people find it impossible to free themselves
from the shackles of corruption.
