Striptease

I believe PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia feels cheated by the
Bandung singers' entertainment on Oct. 7, 1995 in the
commemoration of the company's one billionth barrel of oil
produced in the Duri area. The entertainment also included
several entertainers from Pekanbaru.

The stage was in the Pokok Jengkol soccer yard and attracted
visitors from all walks of life. Most of the singers from Bandung
-- none from Pekanbaru -- performed striptease maneuvers by
raising one leg, rotating their hips and trying to feel enjoyment
with closed eyes. The only difference to a striptease was that
they were still wearing something, although very skimpy and
transparent.

I don't know what kind of entertainment CPI really tried to
give to the public. I am not saying that they cannot enjoy music
of that kind, but the show wasn't appropriate. We are obviously
Eastern so never make us point out things with our left finger.

All the citizens of the small Duri town spilled out of the
soccer yard. The committee accidentally caused shame. Honestly,
you were good at the 50th commemoration of independence at the
same place presenting the Ekklesia Vocal Group.

So, please be more selective next time.
