The Ministry of Immigration and Corrections (Kemenimipas) is holding the 2026 intake selection for cadets at Politeknik Imipas. The entire recruitment process is under close supervision by the ministry’s Inspectorate General.

Kemenimipas Inspector General Rudi Setiawan directly inspected the health assessment and physical observation stages. The ministry partnered with Bhayangkara Brimob Hospital in Kelapa Dua, Depok, West Java, for the examinations.

According to a written statement from Kemenimipas on Saturday (17 October 2026), the examinations were held on Thursday (15 October). Rudi told selection committee members and candidates that the entire process must be objective, transparent and accountable, and that collusion, manipulation and illegal charges constitute violations.

During the health assessment, candidates underwent height and weight measurements, blood-pressure checks, physical examinations by general practitioners, dental and eyesight examinations, electrocardiograms (ECGs), radiology tests, and blood and urine tests.

“Integrity must be the primary principle in recruiting prospective state officials. Every candidate must follow the established selection procedures and be assessed on their abilities and individual examination results,” Rudi said.

Rudi stressed that candidates also have the right to complain or challenge a result if they believe the selection has not been conducted fairly. He urged them not to be influenced by people claiming they could help secure a place.

“Passing must be determined through the selection process and assessment results in accordance with the rules, not through back channels,” Rudi said.

Rudi also inspected the Live Dashboard for Health Selection and Physical Examination. The dashboard provides real-time summaries of candidate attendance, access to documents and regulations, and assessment summaries once the evaluation process is complete.

“The use of this digital system is one of the instruments for supporting access to information and strengthening oversight of the selection process,” he said.

Rudi told the candidates that they represent the hopes of both the ministry and the nation. Those who choose to take part in the process should also recognise the responsibilities they will assume if they pass the selection and complete their studies at the polytechnic.

“Candidates who take part in every stage must therefore make a serious effort, rely on their own abilities, and meet the stipulated health and physical fitness criteria,” Rudi said.

The Inspectorate General will return on 19 October to supervise the physical fitness test. Its findings will also be submitted to Immigration and Corrections Minister Agus Andrianto for evaluation and follow-up.
