Strengthening Unity During Ramadan, Mardiono Distributes Thousands of Basic Food Packages

The Presidential Special Envoy (UKP) for Food Security Muhamad Mardiono distributed thousands of basic food packages to residents to strengthen community solidarity during Ramadan.

The sharing activity was held as part of the Nuzulul Quran commemoration at Masjid Jami An Nur Permata Hijau in Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, on Monday, 9 March 2026. The event also featured communal breaking of fast and joint prayers attended by local residents.

Mardiono stated that the distribution of basic food packages represented a form of concern and an effort to strengthen communal bonds during a blessed Ramadan.

“Through this Ramadan moment, let us unite, support one another, and together build a stronger and more prosperous Indonesia,” said Mardiono.

He also mentioned the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme, which aims to ensure Indonesian children receive adequate nutrition to support health and improve the quality of human resources.

“The programme is not only to improve the nutrition of our children, but also to stimulate the people’s economy. If livestock products, vegetables, and food products are absorbed by government programmes, then the market for farmers and livestock producers will expand,” said Mardiono.
