Strengthening Synergy with Media, Cilegon City Government Holds Iftar Gathering
The Cilegon City Government, through the Communication, Informatics, Statistics, and Encryption Office of Cilegon City, held an iftar gathering with members of the press at the Mayor’s official residence yesterday. The event, organised through the Public Communication Information Division, was a collaboration with PT Krakatau Posco.
In his remarks, Cilegon Mayor Robinsar stated that the iftar gathering serves as an important moment to strengthen ties between the local government and the press.
“Today, we gather for the purpose of maintaining good relations. We hope for the pleasure of Allah SWT, as a hadith mentions that maintaining ties brings many blessings, including prolonging life and broadening sustenance,” he said in a written statement on Wednesday (18/3/2026).
Robinsar emphasised that the event also provides an opportunity to establish direct communication with journalists amid the dense schedule of government activities, which has previously limited the frequency of such meetings.
“I may have not met directly with friends from the press for a long time. Due to quite dense activities, gatherings like this become a very good moment to re-strengthen our togetherness,” he explained.
Furthermore, Robinsar appreciated the contributions of the press in conveying development information to the public. He also opened the floor for criticism and input to improve future government performance.
“I want to hear more input from friends in the press. Please convey constructive criticism and suggestions so that we can jointly find the best solutions for the interests of the community,” he added.
On this occasion, Robinsar expressed his commitment to enhancing support for media cooperation through an increase in the local government’s publication budget next year.
“Insha’Allah, the media budget will continue to be increased so that friends can work more professionally in conveying information to the public,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Communication, Informatics, Statistics, and Encryption Office of Cilegon City, Agus Zulkarnain, stated that the event aims to strengthen relationships and enhance synergy between the local government, the industrial sector, and the press in Cilegon City.
“This event aims to strengthen ties and bolster synergy between the government, industry, and the press in supporting the dissemination of development information to the public,” he revealed.
At the same time, the Director of Technology and Business Development of PT Krakatau Posco, Alhadis Syamsudin, also appreciated the established collaboration. He emphasised the importance of the media’s role in supporting regional development.
“Synergy between government, industry, and media is an important foundation in building open communication and supporting sustainable regional development, particularly in Cilegon City,” he concluded.
