Strengthening Synergy: MTI Management and Trade Union Commit to Boost Productivity and Support the Merger of Logistics State-Owned Enterprises

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The management of PT Multi Terminal Indonesia (MTI) and MTI Trade Union (SPMTI) have agreed to strengthen industrial relations practices and to enhance the roles of each party in supporting the company’s corporate actions on Monday (18/5). The agreement in bipartite negotiations marks a strong commitment from both sides to work synergistically to increase labour productivity and to fully support the integration process ahead of the merger of logistics state-owned enterprises.

The management expresses high appreciation to the organisers and all members of the Trade Union for the good, professional and solid relations to date, so that they align with the transformation and development process of the Company’s business; both sides continue to maintain sturdy synergy to ensure all terminal operational services run well and smoothly, in order to maintain customer satisfaction.

“Management of PT Multi Terminal Indonesia and MTI Trade Union have, so far, maintained effective communication, reflecting the maturity of industrial relations between Management and the Trade Union. This agreement is an important foundation for us to move forward together, enhancing the Company’s productivity and supporting the major agenda of merging the logistics state-owned entities. Both parties have agreed to jointly uphold accountability and Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in guiding this process,” said Sucahyo.

SPMTI Chair Nurtakim expressed appreciation for the space of open communication between Management and Workers and stressed the importance of collaboration going forward. “We appreciate the openness of the MTI Management team, particularly the acting President Director, who has long opened the bipartite dialogue space intensively. All MTI workers are ready to shoulder with Management to bolster discipline and productivity to realise the agenda of merging the logistics state-owned entities,” said Nurtakim.
