Strengthening Synergy Between Entrepreneurs and National Police through Community Service at Penjaringan Metro Police Station
The Jakarta Utara Regional Management Board (BPD) of HIPMI, chaired by Riandy Haroen, through the Jakarta Utara Regional Executive Board (BPC), designated Penjaringan Metro Police Station as a central point for implementing social action under the programme “Ramadan Harmony: From Us, For North Jakarta”. This close collaboration serves as tangible proof of a solid synergy between HIPMI and law enforcement authorities in serving the coastal and surrounding communities.
The community service activity, coupled with joint breaking of fast, took place solemnly in the yard of Penjaringan Metro Police Station on Friday (7/3). The presence of HIPMI Jakarta Utara management was warmly received by the police force and local residents who were the beneficiaries.
Overall in the North Jakarta region, this collaborative programme distributed a total of 450 assistance packages consisting of 300 complete food provisions to support the basic needs of underprivileged families, and 150 school stationery packages together with milk and light refreshments to support children’s education. Distribution was arranged to ensure equitable coverage to each district.
Victor Herryanto, the General Chair of HIPMI Jakarta Utara, expressed special appreciation for the facilities and maximum support from Penjaringan Metro Police Station.
“This assistance was distributed in a coordinated manner, with an allocation of approximately 55 to 75 packages in each district area. Our success in reaching a total of 1,150 beneficiaries is inseparable from our strong synergy with the Police Resort and Police Stations, especially Penjaringan Police Station which facilitated today’s activity. This synergy ensures distribution proceeds safely, orderly, and reaches the intended targets down to the grassroots,” said Victor at the yard of Penjaringan Metro Police Station, North Jakarta, Friday (7/3).
Furthermore, Victor revealed that this sharing activity during Ramadan was aimed at alleviating the burden on residents. Seeing the community’s enthusiasm and the smooth conduct of the event at Penjaringan Police Station, Victor emphasised his commitment to maintaining this strategic relationship. He hopes the bonds between HIPMI Jakarta Utara and the police can continue to be maintained sustainably and become a routine agenda every few months.
The activity at Penjaringan Metro Police Station’s central point was supervised and attended directly by senior police officials at the Police Resort and Police Station level. Those present included the Head of Logistics of the North Jakarta Metro Police Resort AKBP H. Khoiri, Head of Community Outreach of the North Jakarta Metro Police Resort Kompol Joko Sutriono, Head of Penjaringan Metro Police Station AKBP Agta Bhuwana Putra, and Deputy Head of Penjaringan Metro Police Station Kompol Tomb Pea Indra. The activity also involved elements of the community, religious leaders, and residents’ representatives.
Although the main point was in Penjaringan, the distribution of humanitarian assistance was also carried out simultaneously with direct involvement from police authorities in other areas, including the ranks of the Police Heads of Kelapa Gading, Koja, Tanjung Priok, and other Police Stations in North Jakarta.
The harmonious synergy built at Penjaringan Metro Police Station is hoped to serve as a model for successful cross-sector collaboration that brings positive impact to the welfare of the wider community, whilst strengthening the spirit of mutual aid during the holy month of Ramadan.
