Marking Ramadan as a moment for sharing and strengthening social care, Ascott Indonesia has once again organised the Ascott Takes Part Ramadan programme. This annual initiative forms part of Ascott Indonesia’s efforts—a hospitality business unit in Indonesia, part of The Ascott Limited and wholly owned by CapitaLand Investment Limited—to make real contributions to society through various social activities targeted at those in need.

Entering its fifth year, the Ascott Takes Part Ramadan programme is integrated into Ascott Indonesia’s sustainability commitment through the Ascott CARES programme. This year, Ascott Indonesia, along with its entire network of properties in 17 cities across Indonesia, has carried out a series of social activities from 4 to 11 March 2026. A total of 6,500 meal boxes sourced from properties nationwide were distributed to 30 points in various regions.

“For us at Ascott Indonesia, Ramadan is always a special moment to share happiness with the community. Through Ascott Takes Part Ramadan, we aim to be closer to the surrounding communities, share goodness, and strengthen the sense of togetherness. We hope this activity will bring benefits and positive spirit to all parties involved,” said Handy Bunardy, Area General Manager for Central Java, East Java, and Kalimantan.

Through the Ascott Takes Part Ramadan programme, each region has presented social activities tailored to the local community’s needs. In Semarang City, Somerset Queen City Semarang and Pop! Hotel Pemuda Semarang collaborated to clean a mosque, provide education to children, and distribute 125 meal boxes.

The activities took place in Kampung Cakrawala, located under the Arteri Yos Sudarso bridge in Semarang. This village is home to 35 families and 40 children. A total of 30 employees participated in the Ascott Takes Part Ramadan 2026 activities in Semarang City.

Ascott Takes Part Ramadan is a small part of the sustainability programmes carried out by Ascott Indonesia. This activity also serves as a platform to inspire the community that big changes always start from small steps. For more information on Ascott and its sustainability programmes, visit Ascott CARES.
