Strengthening Stunting Management Programme, Antam Receives This Award
The collaboration between the North Maluku Provincial Government and PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam) North Maluku Nickel Mining Business Unit (UBPN) has yielded positive results. Through the ANTAM G-BEST programme, Antam successfully received an award at the 2026 CSR & Sustainable Village Development (PDB) Awards for its contributions to the stunting management programme. The award was given to the Governor of North Maluku, Sherly Tjoanda, and received by the Deputy Governor of North Maluku, M. Al Yasin Ali. The 2026 CSR & PDB Awards serve as a form of appreciation for the contributions of the business world and stakeholders in promoting village development, improving community quality of life, and accelerating the handling of national strategic issues, including stunting. Deputy Health Minister Dante Saksono Harbuwono emphasised the importance of cross-sectoral synergy in accelerating stunting reduction in Indonesia. According to him, the success of the stunting programme requires ongoing collaboration between the government, the business world, and the community to deliver tangible impacts. This award serves as recognition for the implementation of the ANTAM G-BEST programme run by the UBPN North Maluku as part of the company’s commitment to supporting sustainable development. The programme integrates health interventions, education, community empowerment, and sustainable village capacity strengthening. Through this approach, Antam positions its CSR programme as a strategic instrument to create measurable social impacts while supporting the national development agenda, particularly in accelerating stunting reduction. Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of PT Antam Tbk, Wisnu Danandi Haryanto, stated that this achievement reflects the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable and impactful community empowerment programmes. “For Antam, the CSR programme is part of the company’s responsibility to grow together with the community. Through ANTAM G-BEST, we strive to support the acceleration of stunting reduction while strengthening the foundation for healthy, independent, and sustainable village development,” he said in an official statement on Wednesday (22/4/2025). Moving forward, Antam will continue to strengthen collaboration with local governments and other stakeholders to expand the implementation of programmes that provide direct benefits to the community, especially in the company’s operational areas. The 2026 CSR & PDB Awards serve as one of the benchmarks for best practices in CSR implementation in Indonesia, particularly in supporting village development, community capacity strengthening, and contributions to achieving national development goals. For North Maluku, this award is not only a form of recognition but also a momentum to further strengthen synergy and the sustainability of development programmes that directly impact community welfare.
